Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush Surgeon Performs Knee Surgery on Yankees Outfielder

Rookie outfielder, Dustin Fowler, suffered a serious knee injury in his first ever game with the New York Yankees, Thursday June 29.

In the first inning, Fowler crashed into the wall and his knee exploded. Because it was an open wound, surgery was needed immediately.

Dr. Charles Bush-Joseph of Chicago-based Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush performed a procedure to repair the open rupture of the patellar tendon. Fowler is expected to sit out the rest of the season.

Dr. Bush-Joseph is a Chicago White Sox team physician.
